I began practicing yoga when I noticed a loss of flexibility and balance that I wasnâ€™t ready to accept. I was too young to feel old and stiff. I found the practice rewarding and challenging. It was the only physical challenging workout I had ever tried that made me feel relaxed and without stress. That physical effort that attracted me to yoga helped open my mind to the other parts of yoga. After a couple of years of practice I wanted to deepen my knowledge and became certified through teacher training with Dolly Stavros. In my classes I enjoy getting students to link breath and movement finding their own edge. Every person has a different edge and so every class is different. I offer options and assists in the various poses to better tailor the class to the individuals. I believe strongly in being present whether on the mat or elsewhere. I recently celebrated my 50th birthday by skydiving from 14,000 feet. I was very present both on the plane ride up and the jump.
