I found Yoga for the first time, about six years ago in high school at a gym and fell in love instantly. I began going to regular classes where it was called “cynergy†and even though I knew absolutely nothing about Yoga, and I had no idea why, I knew I wanted to teach. In between college the FIRST time, bad relationships and terribly exhausting low paying jobs and a destructive lifestyle, yoga disappeared from my life for far too long. It wasn’t until almost 2 years ago now, that I began a regular practice and found a studio I could call home. With the help and love of the teachers at my new home, and my kind and supporting family, Yoga finally became a priority and I slowly began to turn it into a lifestyle. I now work as a massage therapist, a career path I would not have chosen without yoga, and I’ve recently discovered that It’s one I can’t be apart of without my steady Yoga practice. Yoga has changed my life in so many different ways. Not only does it keep my physical body strong and healthy, but I now know the full strength of my soul and power of my mind. Yoga has taught me that, no matter what is going on around us, I am consistent, and I can do whatever I want to do, as long as I am BREATHING. Yoga is my magic and my constant. It heals when I need healing, it empowers when I need to be empowered, and it calms my mind, body and soul when I need it most. It gives me exactly what I need, when I need it, and I am honored and humbled to be able to share the love of this journey with everyone who will allow it. Namaste.
